Cubase 9.5 - Recording MIDI in a car without a MIDI controller

Just came back from Summer NAMM in Nashville and this time I decided to drive instead of flying. Yes, you heard me. I drove 19hr to get to Nashville. It’s a long drive but I was in good company, my wife Jessie came along this time.

At some point during my trip, while I was working on my laptop, I decided to open Cubase and lay down some ideas. Lucky for me, Cubase has a very cool feature that gives you access to a virtual keyboard so you can use your computer keyboard as a MIDI controller.

So I went ahead and shoot this tutorial video directly from my car to show you how to work with that cool tool in Cubase 9.5. Enjoy!
