CUBASE TIP: How to create an INPUT BUS Preset

Most of you have heard of the term “BUS” when mixing. A “BUS” is an invisible pathway for the audio to go from point A to point B. Unlike other DAWs, in Cubase, a “BUS” will be the path that will connect the hardware to the software.

In this video I will show you how to create a INPUT BUS Preset that will save you time when setting up a recording session in Cubase.

Enjoy!

  1. Thanks – stuff like this should be obvious, since it’s a huge time saver, but I never seem to find it. You are the man.

    thanks.

  2. Hi Selim, do you use any type of Talkback Mic for your recordings (to teh studio, to the singer), as I mean a Hardware Footswitch Button directly in Cubase (v9.5) and if yes, how do you realise this without mixer? I’m searching for a new way odr new solution without mixer Tascam DM-24, which has talkback and Footswitch, and its very comfortable…. best regards Harald

    1. I use a Shure 55SH for talkback controlled by my Interface’s virtual mixer…that mic has an on/off switch which is very useful in this case.
